Book Manufacturing Seminar
The basic book manufacturing seminar is a two-day event held at our facilities in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Since 1988, we have welcomed over 3,000 publishing professionals to our facilities for an in-depth view of the book manufacturing process.
The seminar is designed for entry- to mid-level editorial, production and management personnel who are interested in learning how books are made. Courses are taught by our dedicated employees who work with titles every day and have decades of experience in the industry.
The two-day agenda is a unique mix of classroom learning and hands-on experience combined to give participants a feel for how books are built. All production areas are covered including electronic imposition, prepress, press, bindery, and materials.
Class sizes are kept small so that instructors are able to spend lots of time answering questions with as much detail as possible if required. Dress is casual (good walking shoes and comfortable clothes are recommended) and the registration fee includes lunch both days, an Edwards Brothers Malloy Basic Book Manufacturing text book and gift bag!
Fill out the form below to let us know you are interested in attending. Our coordinator Terri Salisbury will contact you to make arrangements for registration.
