After graduating from Illinois State University in 1990, with a degree in economics, I moved into the paper business where I spent several years working closely with printers throughout the state of Wisconsin. I left the paper business in the mid 1990s and, after a stint with a professional hockey team, I was hired on with Edwards Brothers Malloy and moved to Southern California where I have spent the last 15 years covering the entire west coast (OR, WA, CA, HI, NV, NM, AZ). As an avid reader, I immediately fell in love with the book industry, the people, and the fact that I have an integral part in making books available to those thirsting for knowledge. I am a current board member of Bookbuilders West, and spend my spare time enjoying outdoor activities with my wife, Windy, and our two daughters, Ivy and Holly.
